Strontian. Very fine clear strike on 4-margined 1841 2d blue pl 4 HI. The 371 of Strontian - a small village on the coast some 23miles SW of Fort William -  is one of the rarest of all Scottish cancellations. (in the 1846 Gazetteer of Scotland  gives the population as 982). 85.00
