SC6		4d pale bright carmine (SG62) on blued paper, wmk small garter, on 10 Apr 1856 cover from Edinburgh to Perth. This a scarce stamp on cover (Cat £650.00) . Introduced in 1855 to prepay letters to France, Its use on internal UK mail is exceptionally unusual.	175.00
SC 7		1840 2d Blue plate 2 ND on 16 Sep 1844 cover to Edinburgh , cancelled by the 165 of Glamis, with additional straight line GLAMMIS on face. Forfar transit. Some cover faults, but very scarce useage. Cat £2,000.00	395.00

SC12		Beautifully preserved 1821 cover from London addressed to Mrs Macleod of Macleod (wife of the 24th clan chief) at the Macleod seat of Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye. SC16		Dunse. Very fine example of the Dunse postmaster's unique habit of using his receiver as an arrival-cum-second-cancellation. Berwick to Dunse 27 Dec 1842	85.00
SC17		Thurso. Fine 4-margin pl 81 [PE] on a fine entire from Thurso to Edinburgh, 2 Jun 1848. The Thurso cancellation is so faint that the Edinburgh postmaster has had another go! Most unusual and scarce. - as well as an interesting order for beer: "Dear Sir, Have the goodness to send by the smack John O'Groats one half dzn of five guinea ale quite fresh and of good quality....."!	58.00
SC18		Beith. Attractive small cover sent from Largs to Beith on 25th Sept 1846 which, by virtue of slightly indistinct handwriting, first found its way to Bath! Very fine 'Missent to Bath' strike, followed by the northward journey to Beith, where it arrived on 29th March. (What price Royal Mail beating that?!)	65.00
SC19		Edinburgh. Fine part cover from Edinburgh to Kirkcudbright, bearing a very fine stike of the exceptionally scarce 'PAID 6d EXTRA'. Auckland ED 184, scarcity G.	145.00
SC20		Very fine 4-margined 1d red Plate 23QK , tied to August 1st 1842 entire from Greenock to Liverpool by by a superb strike of the distinctive Greenock MX.	185.00
